Stellar Heliskiing: Small groups, huge possibilities

Directly on Kootenay Lake lies the base for the heliskiing paradise of Stellar. To the west are the massive Selkirks and to the east are the historic Purcells. Both mountain ranges are known for soft powder, vastness and consistently good weather.

Button_ski_kanada_2Stellar Heliskiing: The best thing about Stellar is the small groups. A maximum of four guests sit together in the helicopter, making the trip a personalized winter sports adventure, tailored exactly to the guests‘ ability and experience.

Stellar Heliskiing: Every mistake will be punished

The exciting part starts at the top. From the highest mountains in the region, you look down on nothing but snow-covered mountains and valleys as far as the eye can see. But then it starts, the wild ride! The large wide areas are ideal to warm up, because then it goes purely into the gullies. Maximum concentration is required here, every mistake has consequences, even if the risk of danger is reduced to a minimum through years of experience and the optimal preparation of the guides.

A reasonable lunch break is part of every heliskiing trip – this one you will never forget. In the middle at the mountain, depending on where a suitable place is found, you sit down in the snow and enjoy a feast. On the retina the panorama burns itself inevitably and the peace on the mountain can be broken only by the sounds of wilderness. Unique!“

Insider-Tipp

What could be better than having a nice local beer or a glass of wine after your heliskiing adventure. In the rustic ambience you let the day end with a great view of Kootenay Lake.
