Catskiing at Chatter Creek is the closest thing to heliskiing. No other catskiing area in Canada is as high. Nowhere else has so many open alpine runs. Chatter is challenging and varied.

Chatter Creek enjoys cult status in the Canadian snowboard and ski scene. At an altitude of 1,700 meters, the lodge is located in the middle of the white wilderness above Kinbasket Lake near the ski resorts of Kicking Horse and Revelstoke. More than 100 kilometers are the nearest resorts. Guests are transported by helicopter to the lodge, which is built of massive spruce logs. Then, snowcats take them up to one of the best catskiing areas in the world.

Around the 3,000 meter high Vertebrae glacier stretches a unique area with enormous variety: open deep snow slopes with hundreds of vertical meters, adventurous forest descents and steep gullies. And it’s all framed by a dramatic ensemble of peaks.

If you catch fresh snow days at Chatter, it’s ice cold down your spine. Catskiing at Chatter Creek is unforgettable, perhaps in part because of the guides‘ regular fireworks interludes. Every now and then the guides light dead trees with lighters. Within seconds they burn like torches.
